Candidate Support Services

Policy on The Advisors/Mentor Program:
The role of the advisor is to serve as a resource, support, mentor, and ombudsman for the student. Candidates may request the services of an advisor at any time.

Alternatively, the Administration may request that a student be connected with an advisor if the student is having difficulty in any of the following areas: academic, financial, and/or administrative within the NYIPT program, and/or in relation to the requirements of the student’s clinical placement.

Candidates are encouraged to seek help within the program should any problem arise that may interfere with their completion of the training. NYIPT offers an Advisor Program to help candidates stay on track.
