Policy on The Mentor/Advisor Program:

The role of the Mentor/Advisor is to serve as a resource, support, mentor, and ombudsman for the student. Candidates may request the services of an Advisor at any time. Alternatively, the Administration may request that a student be connected with an advisor if the Administration believes that the student is having difficulty in any of the following areas: academic, financial, and/or administrative within the NYIPT program, and/or in relation to the requirements of the student’s clinical placement.

Candidates are encouraged to seek help should any problem arise that may interfere with their completion of the training. NYIPT offers the Advisor/Mentor Program to help candidates stay on track.
