GRADUATE SOCIETY/ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Upon graduating the NYIPT Training Program, all graduates are invited to join The Graduate Society of NYIPT/NHG, with the first year of membership gratis. The Graduate Society is comprised of graduates of the original New Hope Guild Training Program (See History of Program – Section 1) as well as more recent graduates of the NYIPT Institute. The Graduate Society meets periodically to share ideas about the practice of child therapy and from time to time hosts well-known speakers in the field of child therapy in special events, including lectures and workshops.

In 2005, the Graduate Society of NYIPT/NHG published its first edition of a Directory in which all dues-paying members of this alumni organization are listed. The purpose of the Directory is to provide a resource for employers seeking to reach professionally trained child and adolescent psychotherapists, and for members to refer to each other when looking for referral sources.

NYIPT Faculty member (and NHG graduate) Lorenzo Colon Munrow is the current President of the Graduate Society, Mickey Benowitz (NHG graduate) serves as the Treasurer, and NYIPT Supervisor (and NHG graduate) Cathy Rybak is the Secretary of the group.
