Graduate Society

All NYIPT graduates are invited to join The Graduate Society of NYIPT/NHG.  Dues are waived for the first year of membership. The Graduate Society is comprised of graduates of the original New Hope Guild Training Program as well as graduates of the NYIPT Institute.

The Graduate Society meets periodically to share ideas about the practice of child therapy, organizes peer supervision groups, and from time to time hosts well-known speakers in the field of child therapy in special events, including lectures and workshops.

In 2005, the Graduate Society of NYIPT/NHG published its first Directory listing all members of the alumni organization. The purpose of the Directory is to provide a resource for employers seeking to reach professionally trained child and adolescent psychotherapists, and to facilitate members contacting each other, such as in locating appropriate private therapy referral sources.

NYIPT Supervisor and New Hope Guild Graduate Geri Ness, serves as the NYIPT Faculty Liaison to the Graduate Society.
